Digital Forming is a UK based software company developing design solutions for businesses tapping into the next generation of customization and Digital Manufacturing.

Working at the point where technology meets design, Digital Forming has developed a platform that enables businesses to publish interactive digital products to the web and link these products to a global network of 3D printers. The platform is powered by revolutionary patent-pending software, which can reduce time to market by eliminating a business’s dependency on developers, scripting, and complex supply chains.
The company was founded in 2009 by partners from science, creative, and business backgrounds. The co-founders were awarded an innovation grant from the UK government to develop their vision in 2009. Further funding was raised in 2012 from strategic investors, EOS Electro Optical Systems, leading manufacturers of laser sintering systems. Since then, the company has continued grow, generating strong press interest across media channels such as BBC Newsround, Sky News, TED, The Economist, The International Herald Tribune, The Times, Vogue, GQ and WIRED.
Today, Digital Forming is at the forefront of 3D printing and mass customization, operating a B2B software-as-a-service business. The platform offers clients access to over 200 different 3D print materials and finishes from manufacturers in more than 6 countries worldwide. Clients include design-led businesses, from independent designers to international retailers.
Chief Executive Officer
David has over 20 years of world-wide field and head-office leadership and management experience in the IT industry (with a software focus). His experience includes running companies and operations, final P&L responsibility, management of multinational teams (sales, marketing & professional services delivery) and operations in the UK and Europe. His diverse experiences in technology sales and service delivery alongside a strong technical background (software development and project management) allows him to manage and mentor teams effectively for the entire life-cycle of any software-based product (Marketing, Sales and Post-Sales) for both direct or indirect business and a combination of both.
Lisa is Executive Director and a co-founder of Digital Forming. She studied a B.Sc. in Economics at University College London before starting her career at the G7 Economics team of Deutsche Bank AG and later heading a successful fashion distribution company for 5 year. Since entering the Digital Manufacturing field in 2009, Lisa has been invited to consult leading companies on 3D printing, such as KPMG and Gartner, as well as the UK Government. She has spoken on high profile platforms such as TED, WIRED, and Sky News as a specialist in the field. Lisa was recently voted in the top 20 most influential individuals in the industry by TCT, leading 3D printing publication. Siavash is Chairman and a co-founder of Digital Forming. He studied a B.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering at King’s College London, and later, an M.Sc. in Intelligent Systems and doctorate Ph.D. in Evolutionary Robotics at University College London. It was during his doctoral research that he embarked on developing a system of customizing material properties using Artificial Intelligence and Digital Manufacturing. Since then, Siavash has published 10+ academic papers related to his focus. He founded the software house and design consultancy, Within Technologies in 2008. Siavash is well regarded in the DM field and has developed innovative material properties for industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, and Orthopaedics.
Assa is a co‑founder and Executive Director Digital Forming. He studied a B.A. at the Betzalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem and completed an M.A. in 2003 at the Royal College of Art within Ron Arad’s Design Products department. He later established his studio in London, working closely with companies such as IDEO, Nestle, Nike, Vodafone and Samsung. Today Assa is a world renowned product designer and Digital Manufacturing specialist. His OMI light for Materialise MGX was one of the first 3D printed products to be distributed to the mass market in 2004. He is also recognised for creating the ‘Osteon’ chair, the World’s first 3D printed chair to be designed using 3D tools and Artificial Intelligence. His work is exhibited in the permanent collections of leading international museums, such as the Tate Modern and the Design Museum in London.
Nicolas is a co‑founder and Executive Director of Digital Forming. He studied an M.Sc. at the Polytechnique in France with a background in engineering. He started his career with Accenture and The Boston Consulting Group. Following, he moved into telecoms to head marketing and strategy for Mobistar, a mobile subsidiary of Orange, and later to become Vice President of Corporate Strategy for Orange France Telecom Group. Today, Nicolas is the Vice President of Marketing Vision for the Orange S.A (formerly Orange France-Telecom Group) and sits on the Board of Innovacom, a venture capital subsidiary of Orange.
Adrian is an executive director of Digital Forming, representing shareholder EOS Electro Optical Systems. He studied Geotechnical Engineering, then Economics and started his professional career at a Swiss company specialising in measurement and monitoring systems. In 2000 he moved to Siemens AG, where he was in charge of a number of strategic and operational executive functions. In 2010, he moved to EOS GmbH (Electro Optical Systems), leading manufacturers of laser sintering and DM systems. Today, Adrian is Executive Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at EOS GmbH. Adrian joined the Digital Forming board in 2012 and is instrumental in advising the company on strategy.
